ABB Announces Acquisition of Tropos Networks(Transmission & Distribution World Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ABB will acquire Tropos Networks Inc., expanding its communications systems offering for customers in the power, transportation, mining and public infrastructure sectors. ABB is a telecommunications equipment manufacturer with a presence in most communications technology areas that impact energy and manufacturing industries, including multiplexing, teleprotection, local area network switches, power line carrier equipment, microwave systems and voice communications. Its wide-ranging product offerings have played a key role in its success in energy telecommunications.
