China Unicom South China Base Sees CNY 1.36bn in InvestmentBEIJING, Jul 04, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The reporter learnt on July 3 that the South China (Dongguan) production base of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. (NYSE: CHU, SEHK: 0762, and SHSE: 600050) saw a total investment of CNY 1.36 billion. It is disclosed that the project, with a total construction period of about four-five years, will be completed in two phases. The project will become China Unicom's largest production base in South China when built up. With a total land area of 61245.02 square meters, China Unicom's South China base will be constructed according to different functional zones, which include machine room zone for communication production, customer service and value-added service zone as well as training and supporting service zone.
