At this year's DreamHack Summer event a NETadmin system is being used to monitor network devices to optimise their performance, and to initiate any required remedial interventions before any network malfunctions can take effect. Normally the NETadmin User Portal automatically provisions network services chosen by end users, lets them select the services they want, and enables them to pick out desired connection speeds or opt for various channel packages. Here, though, the User Portal will present organisers with a host of unique statistics concerning the performance of the network, and also enable festival visitors to participate in a fun-to-play IRL game.
