SVForum Announces Launch: Silicon Valley Lineup of Hot Emerging Startups to Publicly Launch their Innovations to Silicon Valley's Most Influential VC and Angel InvestorsSAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- SVForum (www.svforum.org), the leading non-profit organization for technologists and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, today announced the companies invited as finalists to launch their new products at Launch: Silicon Valley 2012 (www.launchsiliconvalley.org), Silicon Valley's most affordable, high visibility platform for emerging technology companies to springboard their products or services into the market. The event, to be held June 5 at Microsoft's Mountain View Campus, is designed to uncover and showcase products and services from the most exciting of the newest startups in information technology, mobility, digital media, next generation internet, life sciences and clean energy. The program (www.launchsiliconvalley.org/agenda) will start at 8:30 a.m., when Steve Blank will be interviewed about his new book "the Startup Owners Handbook" followed by discussions on the changing role of venture capital, updates from several Launch: Silicon Valley alumni companies, a look into what's in store for us from Paul Saffo, futurist, a lively discussion with Ray Rothrock, Chair of the National Venture Capital Association and an interview with Vinod Khosla, Khosla Ventures. The afternoon will be given over to the 30 presenting companies, when each one will have the opportunity to present their products and field questions from the audience and a panel of VCs and Angels. An award will be given for the "Most Likely to Succeed" in each of the six presenting categories. Finalists will also be given the opportunity to pitch to representatives from Enterprise Ireland, which can provide up to $500,000 in seed funding to companies looking to locate part of their operations in Europe. Presenters will be available to showcase their companies and products in the exhibition hall, which is open for networking, deal making, and interviews between presentations.
