[May 25, 2012] Red Hat names Arun Oberoi as EVP of Global Sales and Services Tweet May 25, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Red Hat Inc (NYSE:RHT), a provider of open source solutions, named enterprise software industry veteran Arun Oberoi as EVP of global sales and services, it revealed on Thursday. With previous leadership roles at HP and IBM, Oberoi will further develop the company's sales and services strategy. Oberoi has built fast scaling businesses for companies ranging from start-ups and mid-size to multi-billion dollar global organisations. Most recently, he was with data centre infrastructure management start-up Viridity Software as its president and CEO, doubling new customers every consecutive quarter in 2011 and overseeing its recent acquisition by Schneider Electric. Earlier he was CEO of Aveksa, an access governance and management software start-up. Further, Oberoi was EVP of worldwide sales and services at Micromuse that provided network and service management solutions and which was acquired by IBM and served as VP within IBM Tivoli. Prior to that he was at HP serving in different executive leadership roles, including VP and general manager of worldwide top 100 corporate accounts and industries and VP and general manager of worldwide sales and marketing for HP's software business.
