My wife Skyped me and said: You've left something behind..then showed her pregnancy test on webcam ; STAR SIMON'S BIG SURPRISE [Mirror (UK)](Mirror (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TELLY actor Simon Delaney has revealed how his wife told him she was pregnant with their latest child - over Skype. The Bachelors Walk favourite, 38, was in America filming a new show when his wife Lisa texted and said she needed to chat to him face-to-face. And when Simon turned on his webcam she told him, "You've left something behind" - before waving a pregnancy test in front of the webcam. He said: "I was over there for three months last year, and the day I left I was texting my wife, and she said, 'Can we Skype?'. "I thought that was a bit weird, but I got on Skype anyway and she said, 'You're after leaving a few shirts here, I'll post them out'. I said, 'Great'. Then she said, 'You left something else here'. "I thought it was a laptop charger or something - and then she held up a pregnancy test. "It was great that she decided to do it on Skype, at least it wasn't Twitter." The couple welcomed new baby Isaac into the world three months ago but Simon admitted it was tough in the early days not being was with his wife. He said: "The hard thing after finding out on Skype was not seeing her for three months, because that first three months is a minefield. "I couldn't put my arm round her and hug her. "I didn't have the other two babies there either, so I was popular when I got back. I came back laden down with presents." The Good Wife star has been spending the last few months filming roles for pilot episodes of a number of US shows in the hope of getting his big break in America. And Simon admitted he feels for Amy Huberman after being axed from NBC's big-budget show Animal Practice - but believes things will get better for her soon. Speaking at the launch of UPC's On Demand TV service, he said: "I spoke to Amy last week, that's the business and she's as aware of that as anyone else. "That's the business, that's why networks do pilots so when it goes to pick-up and it goes to series they know they've got everything right. "A nicer woman you couldn't meet and she's a brilliant actress and comedienne. They'll be snapping her up over there." And Simon admitted it can be "gut-wrenching" hearing producers say no hundreds of times. He added: "George Clooney did 17 pilots before ER was picked up. And as an actor, that's 17 times you go for an audition, you tape a show and then the show doesn't get picked up. "Yet he picked himself up 17 times. Hearing the word no is a reality in our job, when you go for parts and get very close. It's gut-wrenching."
