Route1's DEFIMNET Receives Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) from the U.S. Navy(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) May 23, 2012 Route1 Inc. (TSXV: ROI), a digital security and identity management company, today announced that the Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command has notified the Program Manager for the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) that an Interim Authorization to Operate (IATO) was recently granted for the “Unclassified DEFIMNET MobiKEY Secure Remote Access Solution” on the Unclassified NMCI Enterprise. Prior to the IATO, the Route1 MobiKEY solution had been operating under an Interim Authority to Test (IATT). The IATO has been issued to allow for additional time to complete certification and accreditation testing and validation and is valid until August 16, 2012. Route1 expects to receive an Authority to Operate (ATO), the final step in the certification and accreditation process, in August 2012. This IATO authorizes NMCI and Washington Headquarters Services users to utilize the “Unclassified DEFIMNET MobiKEY Secure Remote Access Solution”. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the continued progress we are making with a keystone client with significant potential. Under the terms of a previously announced agreement, Route1 sells its integrated security and identity management solution through a channel partner to the U.S. Navy to meet the need for universal, secure remote access to its digital resources and sensitive data. In June of 2011, the Route1 MobiKEY solution became a contract line item number under the NMCI continuity of services contract (CoSC). As of today’s date, the U.S. Navy has procured approximately 2,400 devices, and currently has ordered the service for more than 2,000 personnel.
