Mentor Graphics Taps Scot Morrison to Lead RTOS, Middleware and User Interface Product Lines


May 23, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Mentor Graphics Corp. announced the appointment of Scot Morrison as the Mentor Embedded general manager of Embedded Runtime Solutions.

According to a release, Morrison was most recently general manager and senior vice president at Wind River Systems where he was responsible for operating systems and associated middleware and tools. He will work closely with the Mentor open source solutions, and simulation and virtual platforms management teams, to help drive the Mentor embedded software strategies.

"Scot has a tremendous background in the embedded software industry and he brings a wealth of experience in key markets including automotive, industrial and networking," said Glenn Perry, general manager of the Mentor Embedded Software Division. "His expertise spans real time OS, virtualization, security and Linux. His contributions will be instrumental in further expanding Mentor's technology leadership in embedded solutions." Morrison will manage the Nucleus product line, including associated middleware and professional services, and the Inflexion UI (user interface) products.
