Samuel in the scrum for NRL

May 16, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) is currently involved in negotiations for media rights for the National Rugby League (NRL). Existing rights holders Nine and Fox Sports have already lodged separate bids for the period from 2013 to 2017, with the ARLC also having met with the Seven and Ten networks about possible bids. The ARLC is believed to be interested in engaging Graeme Samuel to help it with its discussions for the rights, which could be worth $A1 billion. Samuel is both a former commissioner of the Australian Football League and ex-chair of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission.
