DeNA Reports Highest Quarterly Sales to Date at $529 Million and Annual Sales Topping $1.82 Billion
TOKYO --(Business Wire)--
DeNA Co., Ltd. (2432.T), a leading global Internet company, has
announced today its financial results for the quarter and the fiscal
year ended March 31, 2012. The company reported that its quarterly net
sales performance was $529 million*, 32 percent higher than the same
quarter last year, and operating income rose to $234 million, 19 percent
higher than the same period of the previous year. DeNA concluded a
successful fiscal year, with record-high $1.82 billion in sales and $794
million in operating income, up 29 and 13 percent respectively.

During the quarter, DeNA saw continued growth in consumption of Mobage's
cross-game currency Moba-coin, topping $640 million. During the period,
DeNA launched Daum Mobage in South Korea, expaning its cross-border
footprint. The company strengthened its catalog of titles based on
popular franchises and engaged key industry players in China, securing a
strong position for further worldwide success. DeNA also formed an
alliance with Walt Disney (News - Alert) Japan and already began launching titles.
In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012, DeNA took Mobage truly
worldwide. The company rolled out Mobage networks in China and the West
in July 2011 and launched Daum Mobage in February 2012 in South Korea.
The company met its goals of building a global game engine and
publishing a diverse game catalog, with chart-topping hits.
