The RTC Group Broadens Annual Boston RTECC on May 15

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

The RTC Group, premier marketing company serving the OEM electronics industry for 26 years, brings its successful Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) to the Sheraton Framingham on May 15, 2012. Expanding the program this year, RTC is co-locating two new events alongside RTECC: the Medical Electronic Device Solutions Conference/MEDS and the Military Electronics Development Conference known as MILESTONE.

Two Keynote speakers slated at this triple-header promise intriguing viewpoints. Alan Cohen (News - Alert), Medical Practice Team Leader and Director of Systems Engineering - Logic PD, takes the stage mid-morning. He will present "Android: A Medical Development Perspective". Followed by Glenn Thoren, Ph.D., Program Manager of Tactical Systems at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, with: "Where's My Drone?… and other Technology Security Issues for Tactical Military Electronics".

MILESTONE key vendors exhibiting, such as: Curtiss-Wright (News - Alert) Controls Defense Solutions, ELMA Electronic, Kontron, Mountain Secure Systems and others. Tapped as conference host, the editor from COTS Journal will welcome guests and introduce Dr. Thoren. "The U.S. military is entering a phase where emphasis and funding leans toward upgrades and modernization of existing platforms-and away from new programs," says Jeff Child, Editor-in-Chief. "Meanwhile, a leaner military means increased demand on communications and information-sharing through advanced networks. To feed both trends, it's becoming important to rely on technology and products offered from the technology supplier segment of the defense industry-experts in making critical embedded computing, software and other mission-critical products essential for military system designs. MILESTONE attendees will be fortunate to connect directly with the technical sessions and products on display by those very technology suppliers."

The MEDS program has several significant sessions as well, in addition to the Keynote. Sessions on how to navigate and minimize risks for FDA compliance in development of medical software, how to build customized control systems, speed the adoption of mHealth technologies, and much more. The MEDS vendor showcase includes ADLINK Technology, AMD, Cyth Systems, LDRA Technology, Logic PD, MathWorks, NEXCOM, RTI, Vector Software and Wind River (News - Alert).

RTECC itself, a venerable conference to the NE engineering community, features AMD (News - Alert), Intel and esd electronics as top sponsors. RTECC, with MEDS and MILESTONE, will gather over 185 vendor experts to engage the anticipated 350+ attendees. In addition, multiple breakout tracks will appeal to both software and hardware engineers with sessions from Acromag, aicas, Concurrent Computer, Digia/Qt Commercial, Dolphin Interconnect, dSpace, esd electronics, GrammaTech, Keil/ARM, McObject (News - Alert), Nemonix, Pentek, RTI, TenAsys and Vector Software, and hands-on labs/workshops from AMD and Intel.

The RTC Group is excited to bring such an expanded conference offering to this technology hub. Exhibition space is sold-out and guest registration is open. All events are complimentary to attend, including lunch, and open to the public. They serve as a professional gathering for education, competitive analysis, resourcing and networking.
