Cardo to Unveil Helmet-Mounted Bluetooth System for Bicyclists at Sea Otter Classic

Apr 19, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Cardo Systems, Inc., a developer of wireless Bluetooth communication for motorcycle helmets, said it will showcase its Bluetooth communication and entertainment system made especially for bicyclists, the cardo BK-1, at the Volkswagen Sea Otter Classic.

According to a release, the festival takes place April 19-22 at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area near Monterey, Calif.

"The Sea Otter Classic is an event that is anticipated by cycling fans worldwide," said Cardo's CEO Abraham Glezerman. "We look forward to showing festival goers how the cardo BK-1 can enhance their fun and safety as they enjoy their favorite sport. We're excited about providing attendees a daily drawing for a chance to win one free cardo BK-1 duo per day." The company said installing in virtually any bicycle helmet in minutes, the BK-1 delivers voice-activated, two-way or three-way bike-to-bike communication capabilities. Cyclists can converse with fellow BK-1 users at a distance of up to 1,600 feet. The cardo BK-1 also provides cyclists with a way to enjoy hands-free use of Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, MP3 players, or GPS devices.
