NIC Inc. CEO Recognized for Entrepreneurial Efforts
OLATHE, Kan. --(Business Wire)--
Ernst & Young announced that Harry
Herington, CEO and Chairman of the Board of NIC
Inc., the nation's premier provider of eGovernment
solutions, was named a finalist in the Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 program in the Central Midwest
region. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who
demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as
innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their
businesses and communities. Herington was selected by a panel of
independent judges. Awards will be presented at a special gala on June
5, 2012 at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas.
In the early 1990s soon after the company was founded, Herington was
instrumental in centralizing the Company's original subsidiaries under
the corporation, known today as NIC Inc.
(NASDAQ: EGOV). In addition to helping formulate the Company's
transactional funding model, which continues in use today, Herington's
leadership has helped the Company grow from its first state partner in

Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award winner, will be announced at the
annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 17, 2012.
The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst
& Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious
gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
