Digi-Key Corporation Launches Dynamic Catalog

Global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's largest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today launched its new Dynamic Catalog on the US website.

"The Digi-Key Dynamic Catalog provides part-stocking and pricing information in real time. Similar industry utilities are still basically print-catalog reproductions published online," said Tony Harris, Digi-Key's CMO. "Digi-Key's Dynamic Catalog is unlike any other in our industry. Our new 'catalog' is constantly updated with the latest product availability and pricing and is not tied to the limitations of a print catalog."

Digi-Key's Dynamic Catalog allows users to print information and make purchases based on accurate, real-time information. It also allows users to personalize the way they browse more than two million electronic components available on the Digi-Key website. With dynamic, interactive product categories, product highlight pages, and supplier information pages, users have the ability to search for product by supplier, broad or specific product categories, and product series.

"The Dynamic Catalog is the culmination of Digi-Key's transition to becoming a totally integrated, Internet-based, global distributor," Harris said.

From the main page of the Dynamic Catalog, users can enter search terms and choose to search all suppliers or one specific supplier for those terms. Users can also search by broad product categories including Electromechanical, ICs/Semiconductors, Interconnect, Optoelectronics, Passive, Wireless/RF, and More for additional product not included in the preceding categories. Within each of those categories, users can choose to search by more specific product categories and by supplier.

Additionally, each product is featured on a product highlight page which includes product photos, features, specifications, datasheets, PTMs, white papers, and additional information pertaining to the product.
