TwitchTV announces free iOS and Android applications
Apr 12, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
TwitchTV, a live video game broadcasting network, announced on Thursday that it has released free iOS and Android applications, developed to meet consumer demand for on-the-go access to live gaming broadcasts.
The company said its iOS application is a single, universal app for both iPhone and iPad designed to give constant access to eSports matches, sneak peeks at upcoming titles and game marathons for charity for TwitchTV users.
Key features of the iOS application include the ability to view all of TwitchTV's streaming content in high definition in full landscape mode, with robust search functionality such as the ability to browse by game or featured offerings. Users can also follow their favorite channels directly from the video stream, as well as view a list of live broadcasts from the channels they follow. The apps also includes a fully-featured in-app chat.
TwitchTV applications are now available for free download at: TwitchTV Android Application TwitchTV Universal iOS Application.
