Osawa Hidetoshi to Be Head of Panasonic China from April 1

BEIJING, Apr 12, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Panasonic Corporation announced on April 11 that from April 1, its former chief of corporate communications department Osawa Hidetoshi served as new chairman of Panasonic Corporation of China (Panasonic China) and chief representative in China and Northeast Asia.

Osawa Hidetoshi joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd (now named as Panasonic Corporation) in April 1977 and worked in Panasonic U.S. division from November 1991. He worked in Panasonic AVC Networks Company since August 1997 and served as chief of corporate communications department under Panasonic Corporation from April 2009.

Panasonic predicts that it may suffer huge losses in 2011 fiscal year, with total losses hitting JPY 780 billion, a new record in Japanese manufacturing sector.
