(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, April 10 -- (Kyodo) _ ---------- Nissan to produce new hatchback in Britain YOKOHAMA - Nissan Motor Co. said it will start manufacturing a new hatchback at its Sunderland plant in Britain from 2014 by investing 127 million pounds (16.35 billion yen), creating additional jobs at the factory and component suppliers.

---------- Kyocera to build mega solar power plant in Kagoshima OSAKA - Kyocera Corp. said it is considering building a 70,000-kilowatt solar power plant in Kagoshima from July, which would be the second-largest mega solar facility in Japan after a 200,000-kw plant planned by Softbank Corp. in Tomakomai, Hokkaido.

---------- Honda reveals midterm business plan for Chinese market TOKYO - Honda Motor Co. said its subsidiary in China has revealed a medium-term strategic plan for the Chinese market, aiming to double local sales in 2015 from the 2011 level by remodeling 10 or more models in the next three years and launching three hybrid vehicles this year.

---------- Japan's Jan. cellphone shipments rise for 3rd consecutive month TOKYO - The number of cellphones shipped in Japan rose for the third straight month in February, surging 20.2 percent from a year earlier to 2,365,000 units, the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association said.
