Arris WorkAssure solution now includes support for handheld devices and tablets

Apr 09, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Arris Group, Inc, a provider of workforce management software, has announced that the Arris WorkAssure Workforce Management solution now includes support for handheld devices and tablets using the Android OS platform.

"Operators are beginning to phase out existing handheld devices and purchasing new Android devices because of the user-friendly features," said Arris Senior Director of Assurance Solutions Product Line Management, Gary Cunha.

"We want to do everything we can to make technicians in the field as productive as possible, so to that end, WorkAssure's comprehensive mobile support can now be extended to a variety of handheld devices and tablets that use the Android OS platform." WorkAssure continues to provide the cable broadband industry with the most comprehensive suite of tools to improve customer service and event resolution with real-time interconnection of field service, dispatching, inventory, and support staff.


In current use by over 40,000 cable broadband technicians, and auto routing more than 110 million work orders per year, WorkAssure enables operators to efficiently streamline operations through workflow improvements that increase productivity, reduce errors and improve reliability and quality, the company said.
