Chelsio to Showcase at Storage Networking World Spring EventApr 03, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Chelsio Communications announced it will be showcasing its Unified Storage Server software at Storage Networking World, through April 5, in Dallas. According to a release, the demonstration will include five iSCSI initiators (running MS Windows 2008 R2) accessing the high performance iSCSI target through a generic 10GbE switch. The iSCSI target server includes a Chelsio T4 Unified Wire adapter, four enterprise-class PCIe SSDs from Micron Technology and Chelsio's USS software. IOmeter benchmarking software will be used to show the read/write performance of the system. "PCIe flash-based solutions have proven to provide a dramatic performance boost for enterprise systems, evident by the demonstration Chelsio is showcasing at SNW," said Kevin Kilbuck, director of marketing for Micron's NAND Solutions Group. "Micron's customers choose our P320h PCIe SSD not just for best-in-class performance, but because they know it is designed to perform reliably in demanding enterprise environments." "The combination of Chelsio USS software and offload silicon technology and SSDs shatters the expectations of what a customer would have to pay for a million IOPS storage solution," said Kianoosh Naghshineh, president and CEO of Chelsio. "USS software uniquely takes advantage of all the offload features of Chelsio's Terminator architecture to enable an new level of price/performance." Chelsio Communications is a provider of interconnect technology. ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected])) |
