Datang Telecom Realized CNY4.5bn Revenue in 2011, Up 12% yoy

BEIJING, Apr 02, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Telecom service provider Datang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd (SHSE: 600198) harvested CNY 4.519 billion operating revenue in 2011, growing by 12.19% year on year.

The company released its annual report on March 30, saying that it reaped CNY 6.28 billion contract revenue in 2011. Net profit of the company came at CNY 24.7717 million in the period, down 62.49% from 2010.

The company stated that the year 2011 was the fifth consecutive year for it to realized profit, adding that the raise of interest rate for three times made by the central bank directly lead to CNY 50 million year-on-year rise in financial expenses in 2011. Meanwhile, since the company intensified research and development in financial IC card business and such emerging industries as the Internet of Things, mobile Internet and cloud computing, etc, its R&D expenses in 2011 had grown by more than CNY 54 million versus that in 2010.
