Stream Energy Named to Top Corporate Charitable Givers List

Stream Energy, one of the fastest growing energy retailers in the United States, announced that it is being recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the firms to make the publication's Top Corporate Charitable Givers List.

The announcement comes in recognition of Stream Energy's efforts to support and promote the work of Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF), a non-profit which supports low-income families in Philadelphia.

During the month of November 2011, Stream Energy launched a magazine advertising campaign in subscriber copies of six nationally-recognized publications in the Philadelphia area that focused on building awareness of UESF. The firm also made a generous financial donation to the charity during its Power Surge Northeast earlier in the fall.

"While it is gratifying to be recognized for our efforts, it is more important to highlight the need to assist struggling families," said Stream Energy chairman Rob Snyder. "We commend our friends at UESF for the good work they are doing on behalf of families in Philadelphia."

In late April, the Philadelphia Business Journal will host a special philanthropy summit in which Stream Energy will be one of the companies honored. The journal will also publish a special supplement which profiles the top charitable givers and will be made available in copies of the Philadelphia Business Journal on Friday, April 27.
