Verdasys Introduces Digital Guardian 6.0

Feb 25, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Verdasys announced the launch of Digital Guardian 6.0, an integrated Enterprise Information Protection solution for Global 2000 companies and government agencies.

In a release, the Company noted DG6 extends Verdasys' EIP with new capabilities in mobile and virtualized platforms; policy federation; user-based classification; SharePoint integration; and Advanced Persistent Threat defense.

Digital Guardian is a scalable solution platform that provides several independent layers of protection to enable secure data sharing across physical, virtual, mobile, and cloud environments. Its integrated technology framework incorporates network, desktop, and server agents to identify, audit and control data risks throughout the business process.

DG6 also introduces a solution to support manual data tagging with its User Classification Modules, powered by technology from TITUS. The User Classification modules lets users determine the sensitivity of emails or files, yet can be configured to require a classification assignment to ensure designations can be audited for accuracy and compliance with policy.

Other features include -Federation of both policy and reporting. With some Verdasys customers now protecting more than 250,000 endpoints across the enterprise, federated management is a further extension of Verdasys' scalability; -User trending and anomaly reports, which give security managers pinpoint clarity to identify risk and prove compliance from a single user to the entire enterprise simultaneously; -The Investigative Module delivers advanced event forensics and policy-triggered file retrieval that reduces the costs of enterprise investigations, and captures additional evidence for DG's extensive case management capabilities; and, -Integrated data protection from targeted cyber attacks. Digital Guardian provides multi-level alerting and granular policy enforcement to protect data against Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) using DG's native policy controls on the endpoint; real-time intelligence feeds to detect suspicious traffic on the network; and forensic analysis within system memory with the APT Module to detect zero-day malware.

"With data thieves, hackers and intruders constantly striving to break new ground, it takes innovations such as user classification, and world-class protection of mobile devices, to keep ahead. Nothing less will do for today's increasingly virtual enterprise," said CEO Jim Ricotta, Verdasys. "Customers are telling us that with DG6, Verdasys has taken another leap ahead of more expensive and less capable approaches in protecting enterprise information and preventing data loss." Available currently, DG6 pricing may include implementation services, and varies according to number of licenses and circumstances of deployment.

Verdasys provides Enterprise Information Protection solutions.
