[February 22, 2012] Jasper Wireless and Optimus to wirelessly connect M2M and consumer electronics devices across Portugal Tweet Feb 22, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Jasper Wireless, a provider of connected devices platform for machine-to-machine (M2M) and consumer electronics, announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement with Portuguese mobile network operator Optimus, to wirelessly connect M2M and consumer electronics devices in Portugal. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Under the agreement, Jasper Wireless said that its platform will provide Optimus with applications and services to help accelerate market entry of new categories of connected devices on its network, as well as connect and manage a range of embedded wireless devices. Jasper Wireless added that its applications and services support highly flexible business models and automation of operational processes such as custom device provisioning, instant activation, real-time diagnostic tools and detailed billing and usage reports.
