Telit Wireless Solutions selects Calixto Systems as India competence center

Feb 06, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Telit Wireless Solutions, a provider of machine-to-machine communications, has selected Calixto Systems Pvt. Ltd., an embedded product realization company, as its India competence center.

As part of its core distribution strategy, Telit-designated Competence Centers play a critical role in offering machine-to-machine, or M2M, design, development and integration assistance to customers worldwide. The main objective of the Competence Center is to identify and execute a design for a specific customer application based on Telit's technologies. In conjunction with Telit's distribution network, the Competence Center will also work with customers to develop concepts and ideas to realize target solutions for GSM/GPRS/CDMA/GPS products.

"This partnership with Calixto Systems as our India Competence Center is a significant step for Telit towards strengthening its position in the Indian market. Calixto's proven experience in high-level system design and knowledge of the Indian market will help us reduce product development lifecycles and offer our customers highly cost-effective and impactful solutions that meet their unique needs. In addition to having established relationships with different stakeholders in the entire product development ecosystems, Calixto already has proven reference solutions for a large variety of applications across sectors. The integration of our modules into their designs should enable us to quickly expand our footprint in India; addressing high-growth markets such as AMR (Automated Meter Reading), telematics and remote monitoring", said Ashish Gulati, Country Manager, India Operations, Telit Wireless Solutions.

The solutions designed by Telit and Calixto will provide customers with ready to manufacture references for many remote monitoring and control applications using a GPRS module. Moreover, these designs also provide customers the ability to customize their solutions with reduced time-to-market cycles making them extremely cost effective.
