Hitachi to Appoint President for China, Asia-Pacific

BEIJING, Feb 03, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Hitachi, Ltd., a conglomerate in Japan, announced today that it would appoint a president for the China and Asia-Pacific operations to strengthen its localized business model.

The company is set to add a president for Hitachi China and Hitachi Asia-Pacific on April 1 in a bid to work out and execute strategies more suitable for local demand. The move, according to Hitachi, will shorten the decision-making time and intensify localized operation in procurement to fuel business expansion in China and Asia.

Hitachi will enhance the operation of local management team to ride the expected speedy growth in Asia-Pacific.

Hitachi will restructure its operation with a view to come up with the diversifying demand and the global business model based on the social infrastructure market. In addition, the company plans to improve its operating efficiency by rebuilding its operational structure and kicking off follow-up reforms.
