Accel Networks unveils new smart antenna system for business optimisation of wireless performance for 3G and 4G cellular networks

Feb 01, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Accel Networks, a provider of managed fixed cellular broadband services for businesses, on Wednesday announced that its newly formed division Accel Technologies has developed a patent-pending smart antenna system, Maestro, intended for businesses to optimise wireless performance for both 3G and 4G cellular networks.

The company said that Maestro provides for better and more cost effective connectivity and deals with issues such as low data rates, latency, jitter and link availability. The self-optimising Maestro system includes eight antennas, three switchable filter banks and embedded LNA and offers over 500 discreet setting options to generate and maintain the highest carrier-to-noise ratio creating link performance and availability that meets or surpasses service levels for T1s, MPLS and DSL.

Maestro also includes a powerful RF link monitoring platform, traffic analytics and remote asset management, delivered through the secure Maestro Portal. Maestro users can view the status and quality in real-time of a single link or all multiple site links on a national, regional or statewide basis or by zip code; view inbound/outbound traffic statistics in megabytes or connection time for each endpoint; and view and manage remote equipment inventory, tracking numbers and asset history, the company added.

The Maestro management platform will be offered on a subscription based service with the purchase of the antenna and will be available for distribution on 1 March 2012.
