Dallas Township to Streamline with CODY Systems' Records Management Software

POTTSTOWN, Pa. --(Business Wire)--

CODY Systems, a nationwide leader in public-safety software, today announced the Dallas Township, PA, Police Department has chosen and is implementing its Records Management System to replace its current system and provide efficiencies in reporting and updating files.

After seeing CODY's RMS solution at the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Conference, Dallas Township knew it needed to start looking to replace its current RMS with a new, more cutting edge product like CODY Records™ to fulfill its RMS needs. So, the Township began exploring new options, with CODY being at the top of the list. While looking at a number of other systems, Dallas Township was able to spend time at a neighboring department currently using CODY's solutions and decided the functionality was exactly what they were looking for.

"Pocono Regional has been using CODY's system for a while and we went down there to see how it operated. We liked the capabilities, and the reports the system generated were exactly what we were looking for," said Dallas Township Chief Robert Jolley. "The system we are currently using was supposed to be interoperable, but we felt it wasn't providing us the capabilities we needed and was difficult to navigate. CODY has shown us its system will allow us to do what we've always wanted with a Records Management System."

Dallas Townships' 10 sworn officers police a region that grows to 10,000 occupants during various times of the year, and while located in a rural part of Pennsylvania's northeast corner, still encounters the same issues that you find everywhere else, said Chief Jolley. Having the ability to update information and create reports unique to their department and their criteria will allow officers greater efficiencies. Chief Jolley said the system will be used in house to start, with designs on expanding to include CODY's Mobile Office in the future.

"We welcome Dallas Township to our family and look forward to working with them to provide the solutions they require to be a more efficient agency," said Fran Heffner, co-CEO of CODY Systems. "Dallas Township came to us seeking a system that would allow them to create better records that could be updated with actionable information. With the new records management system they'll be able to gain efficiencies and streamline processes."
