BIS Computer Solutions in La Crescenta Acquires ResultWorx Technology Group of Pasadena
LA CRESCENTA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
BIS Computer Solutions, Inc., a 40-year old global supplier of
information technology custom software and computer services, has
acquired ResultWorx Technology Group, Inc., a Pasadena technology
solutions firm for small to medium sized business in California's San
Gabriel Valley and Orange (News - Alert) County.
Price was not disclosed.
ResultWorx was founded in 2010 by the late Jim Locke of Pasadena and
quickly achieved a reputation among businesses in Pasadena and the San
Gabriel Valley for selling and customizing IT systems ranging from a
basic network to complex multi-location network.
BIS Computer Solutions was selected by Mr. Locke's wife, Marilyn
Cabezas-Locke, to buy ResultWorx. "While they are friendly competitors,
both companies share the same vision and values in focusing on the
technology needs of entrepreneurial businesses," she said. "Actually, I
chose BIS from among other bidders because I'm confident its owners
would continue Jim's commitment to highly personalized customer service,
staying on the cutting edge of innovative technology solutions and
community involvement," Cabezas-Locke added.
Michael Macho, division president for BIS Computer Solutions, Inc.,
said, "We are honored to be chosen by Marilyn because we feel there is a
great synergy between our two companies. We can now offer our customers
ResultWorx's expertise in managed IT services and new disaster recovery
tools. ResultWorx can now give its customers BIS' expertise in
customizing hardware and software in specific industries, creating
mobile IT strategies, automated disaster recovery, website and graphic
design plus technology and business consulting."
Macho, whois president of Mobile BIS, also said the ResultWorx name
"will live on and we welcome all the company's employees to the BIS
family. With this acquisition, ResultWorx clients will notice an
increased level of customer support with additional value added services
to improve productivity and efficiencies."
Macho pointed out that Jim Locke was known for his "insightful and
objective evaluations of technology trends, new products and
applications. He was the customer's advocate. His monthly blog on the
ResultWorx website (www.ResultWorx.com)
was well known for examining and demystifying technology issues critical
to the businessowner's success. Jim was proactive-as a writer and
speaker-in alerting not only customers but the small business community
to IT problems before they occurred."
"This transaction is an ideal fit," he continued. "BIS Computer
Solutions has long held a very similar philosophy. We keep our own
customers constantly updated with market intelligence and our opinions
on new IT products that match with our software. We will combine and
continue these important services to BIS and ResultWorx customers and to
anyone who visits our websites."
In addition, both companies have been active in Pasadena civic
organizations and Macho said the company involvement will also continue.
Community service includes Macho's position on the board of directors of
the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena, corporate memberships in the
Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, La Crescenta Chamber of Commerce and the
Pasadena chapter of BNI, an international business networking
organization.
With the acquisition, BIS Computer Solutions becomes an Axcient Data
Recovery Partner, a MegaPath (News - Alert) Business Communications partner and a
member of SMBTN (Small Medium Business Technology Network). The
partnerships broaden BIS Computer Solutions' existing partnerships with
Oracle, Microsoft (News - Alert), Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Nokia, Verizon Wireless, and
Sprint PCS.
