The lineup for ITEXPO East 2012 got a bit larger on Tuesday when Humbug Telecom Labs, a provider of carrier-class fraud prevention, detection and telecom analytics solutions, signed on as a presenter.

The company will actually be presenting at two collocated events: the Cloud Communications Expo and Asterisk World, a conference dedicated to the popular open source telephony software.
Eric Klein, Humbug's VP of Sales, will be taking part in a panel dubbed, "What Cloud Means for Fraud Prevention" set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Wed. Feb. 1st. Meanwhile, Humbug's Nir Simionovich will be presenting "Socializing Telephony Fraud" as part of the Asterisk (News - Alert) event on Thurs. Feb. 2nd at 1:00 p.m.

"By presenting real instances of fraud and showcasing the impact it has on these businesses, we expect to create more awareness of a problem that will affect unprotected businesses," said Simionovich. "It's not a matter of IF - it's a matter of WHEN."
Humbug notes that far too many SMBs, enterprises and service providers have failed to make telecom security a priority, and are being routinely hurt by telecom fraud as a result. The company stresses that telecom infrastructure will be the "new frontier for lucrative criminal behavior."
As the world's largest B2B communications and technology conference, ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2012 is expected to attract as many as 7,000 buyers and sellers of IP Communications products and services. ITEXPO East 2012 is the 25th iteration of the communications and technology conference, which features more than a dozen collocated events including the 4G Wireless Evolution Conference, the HTML5 Summit and MSP World, among many others.
"ITEXPO is the industry's best venue for sourcing new products and solutions, and for learning more about the latest issues and trends that are shaping the communications landscape," said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), TMC CEO and Conference chairman. "Many of the attendees who visit ITEXPO seek the types of solutions that Humbug Telecom Labs provides, and we're looking forward to working together in Miami."
Everyone who attends this year's event will receive a Humbug-branded conference bag and a free copy of Humbug's white paper "The Evolution of Telecom Fraud Prevention." In addition, each attendee will be presented with a Promotion Code for a 1-month free trial of the Humbug Pro Fraud Protection service.
