ZyXEL Offers Telcos Service-Ready Solutions at CES 2012LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan 09, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- -- Consumer Electronics Show -- ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet connectivity and routing products, will showcase several forward-looking technologies at CES 2012, January 10-13. ZyXEL will demonstrate its cloud services, on-demand applications and multiple broadband solutions, such as universal DSL and active fiber CPEs, in their private suite at the Renaissance hotel in Las Vegas. ZyXEL's solutions facilitate faster deployment, easier integration and superior reliability for its customers. Its cloud-based services include Video-on-Demand, music downloads and data backup and storage. At the center of these services is ZyXEL's NSA310 media server, functioning as the subscriber's entertainment and information hub within the digital home. This solution provides operators a physical presence within the home to deploy their cloud services. The company will also showcase its CPEs that provide on-demand services built on using open specifications based OSGi to deliver home monitoring, surveillance and automation, telehealth, energy conservation and smart metering. OSGi modules can be remotely provisioned to ZyXEL CPEs for customizable services without replacing the gateways, resulting in greater cost savings and quicker service rollouts for telcos. ZyXEL will spotlight its new universal DSL and active fiber CPEs, the P873HNUP Bonded VDSL2 Gateway and the FSG1100 Active Fiber CPE. These multiple edge technologies will be used to demonstrate IPTV service over IPv6. They will also be seamlessly integrated with wireless home entertainment solutions like ZyXEL's WAP5605 5GHz, wireless-n HD media streamer to deliver an unmatched subscriber experience.
