Agency accepts old electronics for recycling [Telegraph-Herald (Dubuque, IA)](Telegraph-Herald (Dubuque, IA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) If you received new electronic gadgets for Christmas, don't forget to recycle the old ones. The Dubuque Metropolitan Solid Waste Agency will recycle your computer monitors and CPUs, cell phones, televisions, printers, DVD players and VCRs. The electronics can be taken to the Dubuque Metro Landfill and are then broken into salvageable components at a demanufacturing facility in Davenport, Iowa. To ensure data security, computers are not refurbished or reused and their hard drives are destroyed. A small fee is charged for some components. For additional locations for recycling electronics, call 563-588- 7933 or go to www.dmaswa.org. (c) 2012 ProQuest Information and Learning Company; All Rights Reserved.
