Parks Associates Addresses New Business Strategies Impacting Connected and Mobile Devices at CONNECTIONS™ Summit at CES

DALLAS --(Business Wire)--

New connected products and technologies, including smart HDTVs, voice controls, Android tablets, and multifunction e-readers, are changing the way consumers access and manage content in the home. International research firm Parks Associates will highlight its latest consumer and industry research in these key markets at CONNECTIONS™ Summit at 2012 International CES in Las Vegas on January 10.

The summit, hosted in the South Hall Convention Center, Rooms S204-S205, during the first day of CES, features sessions with Parks Associates analysts and senior executives from Verizon, Best Buy (News - Alert), Motorola, IBM, and other leading companies discussing the changing entertainment and device landscape and its impact on consumers. Following the sessions, GSMA is sponsoring the CONNECTIONS™ Summit Networking Reception.

Parks Associates forecasts more than 920 million connected devices, including smartphones and tablets, will be sold worldwide in 2012, and revenues from operator-provided cloud-based value-added services will exceed $8.5 billion by 2015.
