GigOptix introduces new line of microwave filtersJan 03, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- GigOptix, Inc., a supplier of semiconductor and optical components, has introduced a new line of microwave filters for use in Point-to-Point wireless backhaul, Electronic Warfare, or EW, radar, test and measurement equipment applications. GigOptix's microwave filters are in production and shipping to Tier-1 telecom suppliers. The filters are available in a number of frequency ranges including 26GHz, 38GHz and 42GHz, the company said. Key features of the GigOptix microwave filters, reportedly, include: Small factor Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) solution providing consistent performance; Lower insertion loss solution; Excellent rejection, better than 20dB; Operate in 26GHz, 38GHz and 42GHz frequency ranges, frequency customization is available; Ability to support either band pass and band stop implementations. The GigOptix microwave filters are available in a 7x7mm QFN package and are designed to compatible with SMT processes, the company added.
