Gemalto acquires M2M service delivery platform provider SensorLogic(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Amsterdam - Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 - GTO), the world leader in digital security, today announced that it has acquired SensorLogic. Terms of the transaction, which was structured as an asset deal, were not disclosed. Founded in 2002, with its main location in Plano, Texas, SensorLogic has developed a cloud-based, machine-to-machine (M2M) service delivery platform which allows customers to build, deploy and manage M2M solutions in a broad range of applications such as asset tracking, telematics and equipment monitoring and servicing. The SensorLogic "platform as a service" approach allows enterprises, mobile network operators, system integrators and service providers to bring services to market at a fraction of the cost of a traditional in-house development. By adding a well recognized application development platform to the Cinterion market leading range of M2M modules, MIM cards and MIM management capabilities, and Over-The-Air device management and security solutions, Gemalto has created a globally unique offering for M2M.
