According to China Unicom, iPhone 4S will be available as early as the end of December and no later than January 23. China Unicom has received a network access certificate from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. According to Yu Yingtao, General Manager of sales and marketing department at China Unicom, this certificate is necessary for the telecommunication company to sell iPhone 4S on the mainland. Yingtao said, "I am sure the device will hit the Chinese market before the Spring Festival. We are trying to release it before Jan 1."
