Nokia releases second Windows Phone smartphone, Nokia Lumia 710


Dec 09, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Finnish mobile devices maker Nokia Corporation (OMX Helsinki:NOK1V) (NYSE:NOK) is now shipping the Nokia Lumia 710, the company announced today.

The new device, Nokia's second Windows Phone smartphone, is available from today in Taiwan alongside the Nokia Lumia 800. In the next seven days the Nokia Lumia 710 is planned to be released in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Russia, followed by other countries around the world over the coming weeks.



Based on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the Nokia Lumia 710 smartphone features: Internet Explorer 9 and one-touch Bing search; Nokia Drive, providing a personal navigation device with free turn-by-turn navigation and dedicated in-car-user-interface; MixRadio, a free mobile music-streaming application; and a 5MP camera.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will be priced at approximately EUR270, excluding taxes and subsidies.
