Applied Global Technologies (AGT), the leading managed services and UC technology provider for interactive video conferencing solutions has appointed Bob Wood as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Bob Wood was appointed to strengthen AGT’s position as the managed video services market leader and to develop and implement a multi-tiered global channel partner strategy.
Prior to joining AGT, Bob was Vice President of Sales for Sagemcom, headquartered in Paris, France, where he managed sales initiatives for the Americas and expanding coverage into Asia Pacific markets.
Prior to joining Sagemcom, Wood worked four years as Sales Vice President, North America at Captaris Inc., a leading provider of software products automating document-centric business processes.
At Captaris, Wood was responsible for overseeing North American field operations, resellers, strategic partners, national accounts and Federal sales. Having successfully rebuilt most of Captaris’ sales operations in the United States and Canada, Wood was recognized as “Manager of the Year” for three consecutive years.
Wood is a graduate of the 1999 EEP, Management Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 1982, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Statistics.
