Rodax Software Announces Strategic Moves for Future Growth; Completes Participation in Microsoft Mobile Acceleration Week and Names Dayakar Puskoor of NAYA Ventures to Its Board of Advisors

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/05/11 -- Rodax Software, Inc., a Seattle software company specializing in cloud-based productivity apps for mobile devices, today announced several strategic actions designed to support upcoming business expansion, including the appointment of veteran mobile technology industry executive and venture capitalist Dayakar Puskoor as advisor to the company.

Puskoor serves as Managing Director of NAYA Ventures, an early-stage venture capital company that invests in and partners with companies that offer products and services in the Mobile and SaaS arenas. Puskoor will provide strategic direction and counsel to Rodax, which earlier this year introduced its flagship product called Skedi, the world's first mobile app that lets parents connect the digital calendars of all family members, regardless of device or platform. The product has been featured in a number of major media outlets, including Wired and The Wall Street Journal. According to industry research firm The Gartner Group, the market for global mobile app store revenues will triple from $5.2 billion last year to $15 billion in 2011, and keep growing to $58 billion by 2014.

A mobile technology visionary and pioneer, Puskoor has an extensive track record in building high value mobile, wireless and telecommunications businesses, including at Microsoft, where he was responsible for the P&L for the company's Hosting & Mobility Solutions business. In addition to NAYA Ventures, Puskoor is Executive Chairman at Motivity Labs and at GlobalOutlook, Board Member at SinglePoint, and Advisory Board Member at Mixaroo, Glympse, Exclaim, nFluence and Tango networks. He joins telecommunication industry veteran and expert Gowri Shankar, President and CEO of SinglePoint, as advisor to the company.

"We're honored to have someone of Dayakar's breadth of experience and track record to serve as advisor," said John Boyer, president and founder of Rodax. "In particular, his experience in building high value mobile businesses will be invaluable to Rodax as we build the infrastructure needed to support our next level of growth." In addition to the appointment of Puskoor as advisor, the company also completed participation in the Microsoft Mobile Acceleration Week (MAW) in San Francisco, an invitation-only event to accelerate the development of mobile applications on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 platform. The event offered on-site technical and business assistance from Microsoft, as well as third-party support from Microsoft partners, such as iLink Systems and Motivity Labs. Rodax was just one of 13 companies invited by Microsoft to participate.

"We are pleased to have innovative developers such as Rodax Software participate in our recent Mobile Acceleration Week," said Brian Hoskins, Director of Business Development, Emerging Business Team at Microsoft. "Windows Phone was designed to put people back at the center of the smartphone experience, making it easier and more natural for people to take advantage of the rich communications, apps and Web experiences on today's modern phones. Rodax's Skedi is exactly the type of app that can help make that happen." Founded in 2010, Rodax Software, Inc. is a privately held software company headquartered in Seattle, Wash., specializing in mobile software applications. The company's flagship product is Skedi, the world's first mobile app that lets parents connect the digital calendars of all family members, regardless of device or platform. The company was founded by John Boyer, a seasoned software executive with 14 years of experience for a variety of technology companies including IBM.
