MIPS Technologies Selected for Inclusion in Ocean Tomo 300 Patent Index

(NASDAQ: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital home, networking and mobile applications, today announced that it has been included in the highly regarded Ocean Tomo 300 Patent Index (OT300), the industry's first index based on the value of corporate intellectual property.
The OT300 represents a diversified portfolio of 300 companies that own the most valuable patents relative to their book value, and includes well-known names such as AT&T, Broadcom, Cisco Systems, General Electric, Microchip Technology, and Sprint Nextel.
MIPS Technologies holds a portfolio of more than 580 patent properties worldwide, including numerous patents for its unique hardware multi-threading technology, which were noted as highlights by Ocean Tomo. Hardware multi-threading enables MIPS' licensees to achieve improved performance efficiency in their systems for a wide range of applications in the digital home, networking and mobile markets.
