[November 22, 2011] European dog tracking collars from Retrieva incorporate Podsystem's MultiNet Europe SIM Tweet Nov 22, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Podsystem, a provider of multi-network data SIMs for the machine-to-machine (M2M) industry, said today that its technology has been incorporated into an advanced dog tracking collar from UK company Retrieva. The Retrieva dog collar includes Podsystem's MultiNet Europe SIM, which roams on every network in every European country for a fixed low cost and automatically switches between networks if coverage is patchy or if a network is not available, so that the device remains connected. Use of the MultiNet Europe SIM enables Retrieva to market its roaming collars for use beyond Britain, as well as to customers in remote areas of the UK which would not normally receive coverage from Retrieva's current UK mobile provider, Podsystem said. The collars incorporate GPS (satellite), GPRS (mobile data) and radio frequency tracking technology and the dog's position can be viewed in real time from the user's mobile phone.
