Aerohive Networks Introduces 'Branch on Demand' Cloud-Enabled Branch Networking Solution [Professional Services Close - Up](Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aerohive Networks, a provider of cloud-enabled enterprise networking infrastructure, has announced Aerohive's Branch on Demand - a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) solution purpose-built for small branches, teleworkers and temporary enterprise networks. Ideal for mid-market and commercial enterprises with highly distributed employees, Aerohive said that Branch on Demand is the first branch office solution to offer wired/wireless access, performance and security management, 3G/4G WAN connectivity options, as well as routing and VPN as an on-demand service starting at $99 US list per branch per year. Additionally, Aerohive said that it is forming partnerships with cloud-based security vendors Websense and Barracuda Networks. Using Aerohive's Cloud Services Platform and patent-pending Cloud Proxy technology, Aerohive fully integrates cloud-based partner solutions to provide advanced Layer 4-7 security services to even the smallest of branch offices, teleworkers or temporary enterprise networks. "Classic enterprise network architectures, from datacenter to teleworker, are obsolete thanks to a confluence of mobility, cloud, and increasingly capable smart devices," said Dave Flynn, CEO of Aerohive Networks. "At Aerohive we are combining cloud-enabled enterprise networks with distributed intelligence to completely redefine enterprise access - enabling secure mobility wherever the enterprise is or wherever it needs to go. We are changing work from a place you go to a thing you do." "The transitions to virtualization, centralized computing environments and cloud have forced a rethink on how to design IT infrastructure since many traditional architectures are running their course," said Mark Fabbi, VP Distinguished Analyst, Gartner. "This is especially true with remote office architectures as they need to evolve to provide secure and efficient connections to the distributed cloud solutions that many organizations are considering." "Small branches and BYOD are major forces in the enterprise and have significant implications for networking and security," said John Burke, Principal Research Analyst, Nemertes Research. "IT has lots of locations to secure, no on-site IT staff to manage them, and devices over which IT has little or no control using the company network. Implementing a branch solution that secures access to the local network and securely connects it back to corporate, doesn't need IT on site, is inexpensive per site, and allows consistent application of policy everywhere is an ideal way to meet the challenge." "Michigan Blood's strategic initiative to implement online health screening at both our fixed sites and mobile blood drives has led us to investigate the Aerohive Branch on Demand solution with 3G/4G connectivity," said Bob Eluskie, Director, Information Technology, Michigan Blood. "The simplicity of this solution will allow our donor services staff to setup on demand connectivity for both staff and donors at as many as 40 different locations, which constantly change across the state of Michigan on any given day. The ease of Aerohive's management through the cloud will provide connectivity, security and privacy, all for a remarkably low price point."
