Bytemobile Earns Lights Private Company of the Year Award

Nov 15, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Bytemobile, Inc., a provider of video optimization and Smart Capacity solutions for mobile network operators, has been named the winner of the Leading Lights Company of the Year (Private) Award presented by Light Reading.

Bytemobile's market presence in 2011 contributed to its selection for this category, the Company said.

According to a release, the Leading Lights Awards honor the finest companies and innovations in the telecom, mobile and cable industries over the past year. As the winner of the Private Company of the Year Award, Bytemobile is recognized as a privately held firm that stands out from its competitors, innovates regularly and achieves employee satisfaction. Winners were selected by Light Reading editors and Heavy Reading analysts, with industry feedback, making this a collaborative award.

"We're proud of all of this year's Leading Lights finalists for standing out in the tremendously competitive next-generation communications space," said Light Reading Editor-in-Chief Phil Harvey. "Bytemobile went well beyond its mobile optimization specialty in 2011 and has taken traffic management to a whole new level. We are proud to present them with Light Reading's Leading Lights Award for Best Private Company." In 2011, the company introduced the T3100 Adaptive Traffic Management System, which represents a fundamental change in traffic management architecture for mobile networks. This product combines the functionality of content caching, load balancing, deep packet inspection (DPI), video and web optimization, analytics, and policy control - all in a single platform.

"With the launch of the T3000 Series, we are resolving a fundamental problem in mobile networks today by delivering a holistic solution to adaptive traffic management and optimization in the form of an integrated, scalable platform," said Bytemobile founder and chief technology officer Constantine Polychronopoulos. "With this platform, we have enabled operators to manage data traffic based on what is really going on in the network and deliver the best possible user experience. This recognition from Light Reading validates the importance of our technology, the contributions we have made to the mobile data industry, and the impact of our product innovation on carrier economics."
