No financial details were disclosed. FormSys, based in Perth, Australia, is a software development company that specialises in 3D design, analysis and construction software for structural engineering, offshore engineering and naval architecture. According to Bentley this acquisition will expand the company's SACS offerings for the design and analysis of floating structures, further extending the company's reach in the offshore energy market. Pointools is a hardware-neutral provider of point cloud software technology and with this acquisition Bentley will integrate point cloud processing throughout its product portfolio.
