Greenway's PrimeSUITE EHR Achieves Expanded Certification

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) October 11, 2011 Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., provider of the integrated, single-database electronic health record (EHR), practice management and interoperability solution PrimeSUITE® 2011, announced today the achievement of Women’s Health certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®).

Since CCHIT announced the availability of the obstetrics certification program in May, Greenway’s PrimeSUITE is to date the only EHR to achieve the complete designation, which expanded upon existing certification for ambulatory functionality, child health and cardiovascular medicine.

As part of its comprehensive certification programs focusing on specialty medicine, the Women’s Health program encompassed more than 30 tested functions on clinical and practice management criteria such as flowsheets, lab data import, graphing, problem lists, imaging, charge capture and security specific to obstetrics.

“Greenway is very proud to be able to relay to our customers and stakeholders a continued commitment to best practices in specialty areas,” said President and CEO Tee Green. “Since 2006, CCHIT has set a standard for the independent evaluation of EHR functionality that speaks to interoperability, integration and security goals and has recognized its role in the advancement of healthcare delivery through health IT quality metrics. Our ability to meet these available standards is reflected in the 30 specialties and subspecialties PrimeSUITE currently supports.” In June of 2010, Greenway® announced the awarding of a United States patent for the company’s unique template builder module used by physician practices to create custom clinical templates that aid the workflow needs of specialty and primary care providers, furthering the integration of standards tested and certified by organizations such as CCHIT.

CCHIT is also an Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) authorized testing and certification body (ONC-ATCB) for meaningful use criteria, from which in October, 2010, PrimeSUITE 2011 received ONC-ATCB 2011-2012 certification as a Complete EHR.
