Aircell's Aircell Axxess receives SITA VAQ approvalOct 10, 2011 (AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) -- Provider of in-flight connectivity Aircell on Sunday announced that its Aircell Axxess communications system and Data Interface Unit (DIU) have received approval in SITA's Validation, Assessment & Qualification (VAQ) programme. This qualification is said to validate Aircell's satcom equipment and ensures that it meets all the performance requirements for operations in a Future Air Navigation System (FANS) environment.
