JDSU introduces ONMSi remote fiber test system

Oct 05, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- JDSU has introduced the ONMSi, a remote fiber test system for networks improving both metro/core and access/PON network services.

According to the company, ONMSi ensures that network service providers optimize the availability and performance of their fiber optic network. It monitors the network 24/7 and sends an alarm when a problem occurs, automatically and accurately quantifies and locates the problem, then dispatches the technician right to the site. It allows users to start small and then expand as needed.

ONMSi also supports both P2P (metro/core/access) and point-to-multipoint passive optical networks all the way to the optical network termination. ONMSi integrates into any operations support organization (Web-enabled application, multiple application programming interfaces, domains architecture).
