Systemax's Subsidiary TigerDirect Releases Off PubTab Solution [Health & Beauty Close - Up]


(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Systemax Inc. announced that its subsidiary TigerDirect has launched PubTab, a turnkey solution which enables publishers to implement their digital subscriber initiatives.

In a release, the Company said that PubTab provides publishers with a customized Android tablet for their readers, full logistics capabilities including order fulfillment, and customer and technological support.

Systemax said that TigerDirect has partnered with ARCHOS, an Android tablet manufacturer, to provide the hardware for the solution, which includes a fully functional 10 inch tablet, complete with a camera and 1GHz CPU running the Android platform. The tablet has been specifically designed for publishers and at a price point that allows it to be bundled into subscriber marketing campaigns.

The tablet included four pre-loaded applications that displayed digital versions of its two newspapers and website to subscribers.
