BRIEF: Hornets top Arrows in 3 sets

ASHBY, Sep 28, 2011 (Fergus Falls Daily Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The Henning Hornets started off strong and kept their momentum to beat the Ashby Arrows in a 3-0 victory ( 25-3, 25-19 and 25-12).

The Hornets came out on fire winning with ease. In the second game the Arrows gathered themselves and kept the game close, but could not take the lead. In the third game the Hornets came out in a 5-0 lead which made it hard for the Arrows to fight back.

"In the first set of the match there was very little offense, a lot of defense and mishandled serves on our side of the floor," Said Head Arrow Coach Brenda Johnson. "After that the girls decided to put all their hard work, talent, and play a complete set on both sides of the ball. It was there best set of the night." The Arrows served 28/30 for 93% and 11 points.

The Arrows travel to Rothsay on Thursday and then to Hancock on Saturday for a tournament.
