College of William & Mary to Use TargetX's CRM System to Improve Student Recruitment

Sep 22, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- The College of William & Mary announced it has selected the Student Recruitment Manager, a customer relationship management (CRM) tool developed specifically for college admissions by TargetX, a student-recruiting firm serving higher education.

"The SRM will enhance our ability to communicate with prospects and make it possible to maintain an ongoing conversation," said Tim Wolfe, Senior Associate Dean of Admission at the famed Virginia institution. "We'll be able to build stronger connections between prospective students and the college." The CRM tool will serve as the foundation for an integrated communications strategy the school is putting into place, said Betsy Dolan Quinzio, Senior Assistant Dean of Admission. "This will make it possible to keep track of all our communications, and to ensure that we are sending students only the most relevant communications." The Student Recruitment Manager is a CRM system that helps colleges manage, integrate and automate the process of student recruitment from the first point of contact through enrollment. In 2008, TargetX built the SRM on the Force.com platform of Salesforce.com, a developer of customer relationship management solutions.

The College of William & Mary is the nation's second oldest college and is considered one of the eight "Public Ivies." The school has more than 30 undergraduate programs and 10 graduate programs and professional degree programs.
