Southeastrans Utilizes AirWatch Software to Launch New Mobile App

Sep 22, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- AirWatch, a provider of mobile security, mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), announced that its software was instrumental in the launch of Southeastrans' Net InSight Mobile App.

By leveraging AirWatch, the Company said Southeastrans deployed its Net InSight Mobile App to help its network of non-emergency medical transportation providers securely track and manage trips in real-time, run various detailed reports and electronically submit payment data. Since launch, the Company reported that over 30,000 medical transport related transactions and 1,500 compliance inspections have been completed via the mobile application.

"AirWatch helped us take a major step forward in managing Medicaid NET services through mobile devices," said Steve Adams, president and CEO, Southeastrans. "The immediate success of the initial roll-out is enabling us to expand the use of this technology to additional regions in the next few months, including the Washington, D.C. metro-area." According to a release, the Net InSight Mobile App leverages Zerion Software's mobile platform to reduce the need for paper documentation of visits by electronically capturing all required Medicaid NET trip data elements on iPads at the point-of-service, including member signatures. Drivers enter the trip confirmation number and odometer reading into the iPad each time a member is picked up or dropped off. The mobile device then automatically timestamps and electronically geo-codes the trip location, creating an instant electronic record, which is immediately transmitted to an interactive web-console.


"We selected AirWatch for its unparalleled mobile security, device management and application management offerings," said Jim Degliumberto, CIO, Southeastrans. "With AirWatch, we are able to efficiently deploy devices through SaaS and securely manage multiple devices over the air with a common set of policies. Finally, if a device is lost or stolen, I can immediately see it, lock it or wipe it." AirWatch ensures that each mobile device is secured from its initial registration until the device is retired from service. Once a device enrolls with AirWatch, IT managers can manage all aspects of their mobile fleet, view real-time and data about the device and monitor interactions from a web-console or even their own mobile devices.
